Piersons Trip Around the World
Piersons Trip Around the World
Argentina is a big country. Top to bottom, it is almost as long as the USA is wide. With such a large area, the country offers many diverse landscapes to explore. Mountains, jungle, dessert, big cities, wine country – there truly is a little bit of everything, and over five weeks, we did our best to sample as much as we could.
From one mountain town to the next, we made our way through el Calafate, el Chalten & Barilcohe. Our family’s favorite by far was el Chalten, a small remote hiking town not far from the border of Argentina and Chile.
We’ve been fortunate to visit many great places on this year-long adventure. Some places are worth seeing if you are already in the region, others are worth making a trip to to see on their own. Northern Argentina is definitely worthy of a stand-alone trip.
Whether you are cruising around the Patagonian Fjords, or sailing the coast from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, or sailing to Antarctica, there are several areas to explore in Argentina.
Taking a tour with a small group provides the opportunity to experience the sites of Argentina with other like-minded travelers on popular pre-designed itineraries.
